Keeping You Safe

Thank you to all our customers that have visited us recently. You will know that we have a number of measures in place to keep you safe and reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19. We are continually reviewing and revising our COVID-19 Risk Assessment in line with the ever changing rules to make sure that we remain COVID 19 Secure.

In brief,

Don’t forget to bring your face covering with you

You must wear this in pub at all times you are not seated so on entry, when going to the toilets & when exiting.

To minimise the number of people walking around the pub, our front door is now the entrance and the side door is exit only (if you are physically impaired and struggle with steps, please speak to our host who will ensure that it is safe for you to enter via the side entrance).

Please take note of the signs in the pub and the advice provided by our host when you arrive.

Sorry, no standing at the bar! Our host will greet you and show you to a table.

If there are no tables available, then sadly we will not be able to let you in.

We will be operating table service only – please do not approach the bar to order drinks.

Hand sanitisers are now in place on entry & exit to the pub and on the way to the toilets.

Please use these regularly.

Our courtyard garden is now NON SMOKING – please respect this. Smokers are welcome to smoke at the side or the front of the pub but please respect social distancing whilst doing so.

NHS Test & Trace

The QR code for the NHS Test & Trace app is displayed on entry to the pub. Please scan this via the app to record your visit. If you do not have the app or a smart phone, then we can still record your details manually. Everyone in your party must provide their details. Anyone not willing to do so will be refused entry. Sorry, it’s the law!

If requested, your details will be shared with NHS Test & Trace to help them identify people who may have been exposed to COVID 19. Your details will not be used for any other purpose and will be securely disposed of after 21 days.

It is not essential to book a table but probably advisable if you want to be sure of getting a seat due to our reduced capacity. We have decided not to go for a fancy app or online bookings so if you want to book, please ring the pub or message us. We don’t always get notifications of Facebook comments so please don’t use that way to book as we can’t guarantee that we will pick those up. We don’t want you to be disappointed.

Be mindful when booking a table for indoors - the numbers are restricted to 6 from any household or two households only, which can be more than six. Groups of up to 30 can be accommodated outside. Please do not mingle with people outside the group you are with, even if you know them.

If you book a table in our courtyard then, sorry, if the weather turns wet & windy, we can’t guarantee that we will be able seat you inside but we do now have sails covering most of the area and some heaters.

Finally, we know that plans change but if you have a booking and can no longer come, then please ring to cancel.
