Keeping You Safe

Well it’s been a strange year and we know that you may be feeling a little unsure about visiting us but we just wanted to let you know that we have a number of new measures in place to keep you safe and to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19. We have closely followed Government guidelines and prepared a detailed COVID-19 Risk Assessment so are pleased to confirm we are COVID 19 Secure.

In brief,

To minimise the number of people walking around the pub, our front door is now the entrance and the side door is exit only (if you are physically impaired and struggle with steps, please speak to our host who will ensure that it is safe for you to enter via the side entrance).

Please take note of the signs in the pub and the advice provided by our host when you arrive.

Sorry, no standing at the bar! Our host will greet you and show you to a table.

If there are no tables available, then sadly we will not be able to let you in.

During busy periods, we will be operating table service only – please do not approach the bar to order drinks.

Hand sanitisers are now in place on entry & exit to the pub and in the rear lobby. Please use these regularly.

Our courtyard garden is now NON SMOKING – please respect this. Smokers are welcome to smoke at the side or the front of the pub but please respect social distancing whilst doing so.

NHS Test & Trace

On arrival we will ask you for the name and contact number of one person in your party for the purposes of NHS Test & Trace. If requested, these details will be shared with NHS Test & Trace to help them identify people who may have been exposed to COVID 19. Your details will not be used for any other purpose and will be securely disposed of after 21 days.

Your co-operation would be appreciated.

Bookings

It’s all a bit new to us! It is not essential to book a table but probably advisable if you want to be sure of getting a seat due to our reduced capacity. We have decided not to go for a fancy app or online bookings so if you want to book, please ring the pub or message us. We don’t always get notifications of Facebook comments so please don’t use that way to book as we can’t guarantee that we will pick those up. We don’t want you to be disappointed.

Be mindful when booking a table of the Government advice on groups – only two households can meet inside. Outside up to 6 people from different households can meet or two households in larger numbers.

If you book a table in our courtyard then, sorry, if the weather turns wet & windy, we can’t guarantee that we will be able seat you inside but we do now have sails covering most of the area.

Finally, we know that plans change but if you have a booking and can no longer come, then please ring to cancel.
